Have you noticed yet? You can now use your browser\u2019s Back and Forward arrows for navigation on DataForce pages. <\/strong>Webpage development tools have come of age for single-page applications like DataForce, and one improvement is the ability to capture and use browser navigation functions without irritating said browsers. Chrome and others have taken a hard-line stance against trapping keystrokes (ever been on a web page that won\u2019t let you leave? No wonder browsers hate keystroke trapping!), but an acceptable technique has arrived, one that satisfies industry best-practices, and it has been implemented at DataForce!<\/p>\n\n\n

For the techies out there, a “single-page application” (SPA) is one that loads a single HTML page and dynamically updates content via JavaScript as the user interacts with it, reducing full page reloads. DataForce implemented this cutting-edge design long ago (well, hey, it was cutting-edge at the time, it’s pretty common now) but at the cost of browser navigation tools like the forward- and back-buttons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the year!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DataForce is currently working with FootballGuys.com<\/a> to integrate with their fantasy tools. More details to come!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FootballGuys is one of our favorite fantasy sources for news, rankings, projections, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’re not sure how long it will take to get fully implemented, but I can tell you that they’re a great group to work with, and we’re excited to get it underway. We’ll let you know when it’s ready!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New App Underway<\/h2>\n\n\n

I know, we’ve been talking about a new mobile app for a long time. The old app is outdated and not very easy to navigate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, this is the year of the new app, too! It’s under design now, as is our mobile version (the one you typically see when you visit DataForce from your phone). These two interfaces will be pretty much identical–the mobile version and the app. When the upgrade completes, and we think you’ll be happy! It’s sleek, it’s fast, it’s … the future!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’ll let you know when it’s ready! Until then, suggestions are welcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No More Moving Players to I\/R Before the Draft<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In recent years, you’ve been allowed to move players who qualified for I\/R to your Injured Reserve spot before the draft, so as to free up another draft spot. No longer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When you select your keepers for a multi-year league, all players automatically come off I\/R. In the past, however, you could strategically slide those players who still qualified back to Injured Reserve, so long as you did it before the draft started.<\/p>\n\n\n

The strategy simply became too problematic and unpopular last year, with too many solid keepers qualifying for I\/R. So for 2026 we’re going back to the way it was a few years back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keeping an injured player on your roster now during the rookie\/free-agent draft will mean drafting one less player, going forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s your fav when it comes to the fantasy platform: MyFantasyLeague or DataForce? We offer leagues on both platforms, though MFL is reserved mostly for returning dynasty and keeper leagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two platforms require minor differences in rules<\/a>, and MFL costs a bit more ( $7 per team – we have to pay to use their platform), but for the most part they share the same ruleset. But do you have a preference?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If so, be sure to mark your preference on the Renewal Page. As the renewal deadline arrives (Saturday, May 9th), if everyone still in the league has the same preference, or indicates that they don’t care which host is used, we’ll move the league to the members’ choice of platform. (All members must agree for a change to be made.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tin babies are cheap fun, but they are a bit restrictive. If you’ve had enough draft practice, and you’re ready to move on to something bigger, we’re ready for you!<\/p>\n\n\n

Tin Babies are all bestball leagues, and at DataForce, bestball carries two flavors – [1] Leagues that you manage weekly and [2] Draftmaster leagues that are one-and-done, where your involvement ends after the draft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
