I reviewed last year\u2019s version and determined that I kind of suck at this. Apparently, finding the next \u201cPuka\u201d in the 4th round is not an easy task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But\u2014<em>big but<\/em>\u2014when I looked again, some of my sleeper picks produced at a Flex level. That\u2019s a good result for a sleeper. I was also happy that I drafted bunches of Bucky Irving (not mentioned in last year\u2019s article), so I\u2019ve got that going for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everyone wants the next Puka in the 4th round of a rookie draft. As some of you know, I\u2019m not a good golfer. Just like I\u2019m not great at predicting sleepers. Okay, the dead horse has been sufficiently beaten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Golf\u2014right, back to the point. Drafting a late-round player who turns out to be great is like hitting that perfect golf shot. It happens, even to me. That one shot keeps you coming back. Just like that one sleeper hit brings you back to fantasy. A Cinderella story, if you will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking of golf movies, I just love&nbsp;<em>Caddyshack.<\/em>&nbsp;I know my movie references are wicked old, but that\u2019s where my brain is stuck\u2014somewhere between 1975 and 1985. So many scenes to choose from, but one fits the sleeper mentality: the \u201cCinderella Story\u201d scene with Carl the greenskeeper. He\u2019s delusional. And let\u2019s face it, so are we when we believe that our 4th-round dart throw is going to bring us a championship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zLhLELgx0qU?si=kbC9hM1ahmoEEs0-\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At its core, a sleeper is an undervalued asset with hidden potential. But in today\u2019s age of nonstop info, is anything really hidden anymore?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every fantasy football podcast and site does a sleeper list. So why am I adding another one?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because I\u2019m delusional. That\u2019s it. Let\u2019s cram in some more data to the brain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And yes\u2014this year I\u2019m including rookies. They are the true Cinderellas. (Call back, baby. Like a pro.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Loose Criteria I Used:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Rookies with Opportunity<\/strong>: Fresh faces with a clear path to playing time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Players Returning from Injury<\/strong>: They\u2019re healthy again<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Players in New Situations<\/strong>: New team or new role<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Late Bloomers<\/strong>: Took a while, but ready to pop<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Under-the-Radar Talent<\/strong>: You saw a flash\u2014now you&#8217;re betting on the breakout<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2025 Sleepers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Drake Maye<\/strong><br>In Year 2, I think he\u2019ll grow as a passer and add more rushing yards. With the right coaching, he\u2019ll be in a position to succeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jaxson Dart<\/strong><br>See: Penix. Late-season opportunity. Solid stash for dynasty Superflex. Just keep flinging it to Malik. Let\u2019s see if he has the mental fortitude for the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bryce Young<\/strong><br>Was he ever actually hyped? So, can he be a post-hype sleeper? Whatever\u2014Year 3, loaded offense, better coaching, and an improved line. After being benched, he went 4\u20136 over his last 10 games with over 200 yards per game, 15 TDs, and 6 INTs. I think he finally gets it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jalen Milroe<\/strong><br>\u201cGo Hawks.\u201d Not Russell Wilson, but also a 3rd-rounder stuck behind an expensive veteran. He\u2019s a deep, deep sleeper with rushing upside. I love grabbing this guy in the 3rd round of rookie drafts (a bit earlier in Superflex).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jaylen Wright<\/strong><br>Speed, pass-blocking, good hands, and opportunity. In his second year in the system after a quiet rookie season, he\u2019s a cheap flier. If he breaks out, you\u2019re a genius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jaydon Blue<\/strong><br>Speed, good hands\u2014sound familiar? By Week 6 we might be saying, \u201cJavonte who? Was Miles Sanders really on this team?\u201d Caution: Dallas might screw this up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Blake Corum<\/strong><br>A blue-light special (I know, would\u2019ve been better with Jaydon Blue). If the lead back gets hurt or hits contract issues, Corum might be the guy. He didn\u2019t show much last year, and there\u2019s a shiny new rookie in the room. But I\u2019ve got a gut feeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>DJ Giddens<\/strong><br>So twitchy, check, strong burst, check, thin depth chart. So, a lock, right? No, but he is one I just like to draft. The next Bucky Irving? Fun to dream. Gut feeling time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>J.K. Dobbins<\/strong><br>Look up \u201clower extremity injuries\u201d and you\u2019ll see a picture of J.K. Hello? Is this thing on? Don\u2019t worry folks, I\u2019ll be here all week. This one\u2019s wish-casting, but when he\u2019s on, he\u2019s great. Can he rise again? Maybe. Worth one more shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Marvin Mims Jr.<\/strong><br>Sneaky late-season breakout. No major competition was added. He could end up averaging 12\u201315 PPR points per game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Rashid Shaheed<\/strong><br>Was rising, then got hurt. New play-caller in town. With shaky QB play, I bet he runs under 5\u20136 long bombs this year. Someone must get targets, and they\u2019ll be playing from behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cedric Tillman<\/strong><br>6\u20193\u201d, 215 with speed. Late-season breakout. I think he\u2019s the WR2 in Cleveland. Easy to acquire\u2014for now. Value is rising thanks to dopes like me pumping him up.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dataforceff.com\/fantasy-football-lobby\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dataforceff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Join-A-League.2-1024x683.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-730\" style=\"width:315px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dataforceff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Join-A-League.2-1024x683.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.dataforceff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Join-A-League.2-300x200.png 300w, https:\/\/www.dataforceff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Join-A-League.2-768x512.png 768w, https:\/\/www.dataforceff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Join-A-League.2-850x567.png 850w, https:\/\/www.dataforceff.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Join-A-League.2.png 1536w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Ricky Pearsall<\/strong><br>Locked in as the WR2. Aiyuk may not even be effective if\/when he returns. I traded all my Ricky stock and might regret it. CMC and Kittle will get theirs, but Ricky will too. Keep an eye on veteran signings (Allen? Cooper?).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tre Harris<\/strong><br>His draft value has slipped a bit, which makes him a nice value. Good team, coach, and QB. Might start as the WR3. He\u2019s big and can go get it. By Week 7, he might live in your Flex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Kyle Williams<\/strong><br>Not a fan of the team, but I\u2019ve become a Drake Maye believer. Williams is my pick to be his go-to guy. His senior year: 1,198 yards, 14 TDs on 70 catches, averaging 17.1 YPR. I love him, but he\u2019s rising. Might cost you 2.05 in rookie drafts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jakobi Meyers<\/strong><br>Not a flashy pick but listed as WR1 (unless you don\u2019t count Brock Bowers). He\u2019ll outperform his WR40s ADP. I like to use late rookie picks to trade for guys like this. He\u2019s better than most of those 2nd\/3rd-round rookie lottery tickets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>TE Sleepers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Basically, anyone&nbsp;<em>except<\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>George Kittle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brock Bowers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trey McBride<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sam LaPorta<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The rest? Who knows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Big shoutout to Big Brother Rick and Johnny G for getting me into this obsession\u2014er,&nbsp;<em>hobby<\/em>\u2014back in 1994.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Stay sharp.
