Unbelievably, it’s already week 11! The atmosphere in your fantasy leagues is starting to change, as teams jockey for playoff position. We have several things coming up to discuss today, we don’t want any rules to catch you by surprise.
What You Need to Know For the Weeks Ahead
👉 WEEK 11: The trade deadline is this weekend! On Saturday, November 15, at 10pm Eastern Time, all trading ceases for the year.
👉 WEEK 12: If you’re in a contender league, week 12 will be an all-play week! You do not play a particular opponent. The six teams who score the most will receive wins, and the bottom six teams will be scored as a loss.
Your league playoffs for contender leagues then follow in week 13! Four teams in each league advance to the contender playoffs beginning in week 14: Two teams in your league will receive byes, while four others will play in week 13 to earn the final two spots. 👉 WEEK 13: Another week later, the end of week 13 (December 1), is the last time that players you drop will go on waivers. This is a typical anti-collusion rule used by many sites, because we don’t use an ‘undroppable list.’ All offensive players dropped from your team–with the exception, of course, of players that you pick up and drop in the same week, because waiver-churning is illegal–will be permanently locked and out of play.
Note that this pertains only to offensive players! Dropped defenses and kickers will not be locked.
There are some very important exceptions to this rule: Dynasty, Legacy and Guillotine leagues will not have players locked, and leagues on MyFantasyLeague will not have players locked. This is a limitation of MyFantasyLeague software that we cannot avoid.
Playoff Hopes Fading?
Are things looking bad for your chances to make the playoffs? Remember that DataForce seeds two teams into the playoffs based on total points scored. It’s not all about standings, so you’re never out of the running! More information is available on the League->Standings page.
As the playoffs approach, dynasty and keeper league owners may be tempted to give up on making the playoffs and instead angle for a favorable draft position next year. That’s fine, it’s all part of the game. However, there is never any advantage in tanking games. Your draft position next year will be based on potential points (meaning, the number of points you would have scored had you played your best possible lineup) and there are penalties for scoring zero at any position. Please play to win every game by starting your best players and by avoiding byes in your lineup.
If you don’t make the playoffs, don’t forget there’s a toilet bowl to win bonus money for next year! Everybody gets to play all year! However, once you’ve been eliminated from the regular playoffs, except in multi-year leagues like dynasty leagues, your bidding money will be taken away so you will no longer be able to participate in waiver bidding.

Playoff Leagues Coming
Yep, we’ll be adding these to the lobby in December. If your flight home for Thanksgiving or Christmas gets cancelled, there’s always fantasy football.
Playoff leagues are really, really fun! Draft the players you think will go furthest into the playoffs, and participate in cozy little 6-team leagues, where everyone selects two players at every position, except wide receiver, where you pick four. Then root for the teams where you have the most players!
