First, we want to wish everybody a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones! Remember the extra games on Thursday and Friday this week!
Contender League Playoffs Begin Now
Week 12 was an all-play week, where the top six scoring teams in your league get a “win” and the bottom six a “loss”. And thus ends the Contender league regular season.

Check your league standings page now to see if you made the playoffs. Like most DataForce leagues, the two division winners make the playoffs and receive byes in the first playoff week (week 13); the next two teams with the best win/loss record make the playoffs; and the two remaining teams with the highest point totals make the playoffs. You can learn more about DataForce playoff seedings by clicking the yellow HELP button at the top left of the standings page.
Week 13 is intra-league playoffs, cutting down the number of playoff-bound teams in your own individual league from 6 to 4. Then, your league and your three sister leagues join in a 4-week head-to-head matchup to determine the overall champion. In all, sixteen teams advance to the Contender playoffs.
Win through week 14 and you’ll win money! Keep winning and you win more money! The more you win, the more you win!

Missed the playoffs in your Contender League? You’re not done. The toilet bowl runs from weeks 14-17 where you can win bonus money. Use this bonus money to buy into playoff leagues, they’ll be hitting the lobby in about a week!
Dropped Players Soon Go Out of Play
After this week, dropped players no longer go to waivers. They will go out of play.

Beginning a week from today (Tuesday, December 2), any offensive player drops are removed from play for the year! These players will no longer be available for waiver bidding or free agent pickups.
If you’re streaming quarterbacks or tight ends, that’s going to get a bit more difficult after this week.
There are several exceptions to this rule:
- Only offensive players go out of play. Kickers and defenses do not.
- Players do not go out of play in Dynasty, Legacy, or Guillotine leagues. They do go out of play in other multi-year leagues, including Keeper, Salary Cap and Contract leagues!
- If your league is hosted on MyFantasyLeague instead of DataForce, the software cannot accommodate this DataForce rule. No players will go out of play on MyFantasyLeague.
Auto-Renew In January
In early January, just before prizes are awarded, DataForce auto-renews your multi-year teams where you have instructed us to do so. Payment is automatically applied from your DataForce account for the 2026 entry fee. It is taken out of prize winnings or your existing account balance.
DataForce does not automatically charge your credit card or bank account! If you have a balance owing after auto-renewal, you will need to make a deposit to bring your account current, paying for your teams, before you can begin trading in your 2026 leagues.
Auto-renewal can occur under three circumstances:
- You can request auto-renewal on your My Leagues page.
- When you trade away future draft picks on the DataForce platform, the trade software asks if you intend to stick around next year, and requires that you set the team to auto-renew before offering or accepting the trade.
- If your league is hosted on MyFantasyLeague, you must enable future-year pick trading before these picks will appear on your trade page. This, too, requires an auto-renew agreement.
Well, the trade deadline for 2025 has passed. Does your My Leagues page show that auto-renewal is required? If it does, do you still have all your draft capital for 2026 and 2027, or have you made trades to recover that capital? (Meaning, do you have picks in all the rounds, or better?)

If so, you can request the auto-renew requirement for 2026 be removed. Just write us at [email protected] and let us know that’s what you want. Check first, of course, to make sure you have the required 2026 and 2027 picks.
We’d really appreciate if you write us BEFORE January, so we don’t have to back the renewal out. We’d rather turn it off beforehand than undo it later!
