Had enough of drafting practice leagues? Think you’re ready now for the Bigs?
Tonight’s live draft options feature a Gold ($500) league, and tomorrow we’ll be running a Platinum ($1000) league. Both are a standard lineup (1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1flex, 1PK, 1Def) and both are live drafts with a 75-second timer. Find both at the top of the lobby.
But before you make the jump, check out how the big boys play. All of our Diamond ($3000) email leagues have begun drafting, and you can follow along on the draft boards here:

Diamond 101
Diamond 102
Diamond 104
Diamond 105
Diamond 106
The final Diamond draft (DIAMOND 103) will take place live on Sunday, August 31. There are still three spots left for the live draft!
Email Drafts Speed Up Beginning Monday

All 8-hour email leagues shift automatically to a 6-hour timer on Monday morning, as we begin the accelerated draft period and aim to wrap them all up before the beginning of the season.
The draft timer for email drafts still remains off between midnight and 6am Central time.
If you are still interested in playing in an email draft this year, please don’t wait to join and pay! We need to get them all started drafting as soon as possible!
New to DataForce? Some Navigation Tools

For those of you brand new to the software, there’s nothing more educational than just browsing all of the pages to see what’s there. There are two hubs to look at: The Administrative Hub which is where you buy teams and get basic information about DataForce, and the Team Manager hub where you manage the teams that you bought. You can switch between these hubs by clicking the big buttons at the top right of each page.
When you’re ready for more help, here are some hints to dig deeper:
- Look for the little blue bubbles throughout the pages and mouse over them. (Touch them on a mobile device.) Each will display a short hint about whatever object it is next to.
- At the top left, locate the yellow HELP button. This toggles ‘page text’ to read about how each page is used. (Click it again to make the help text disappear.) It’s not a bad idea to just go around clicking HELP on all the pages and reading, there’s a lot of valuable information hidden in there!
- We have an FAQ. Locate it in tiny green letters at the bottom left of each page.
- You’ve probably seen hint popups in yellow as you’ve navigated the site. One can appear every few hours until their exhausted. If you get tired of reading these, they can be disabled and re-enabled on your My Account page, and if you’d like to just read all of them at once, you’ll find the whole lot of them here.
- DataForce began adding short videos this year, and you can find a whole page of them here. You can also find us on Youtube and subscribe directly to our channel! Be sure to “like” the videos that teach you something!
- Finally, one handy page full of tips and tricks to get you started. There are many other informative pages like this under the Rules and About DFF buttons of the full-screen web version (not on the mobile web version.)
Still confused about something? Write us, preferably with a support ticket. We try to be really responsive!
The Newbie Corner: Player Searches While Drafting

Today I want to list a few hacks to help you find the player you’re looking for in the Available Players box while drafting, or selecting free agents, or bidding on waivers. Most of these hints play on the fact that each player’s name, as it’s listed in the box, includes both the position and the team – and these are searchable elements! So …
- Are you a Green Bay homie? Type GB in the search box to get all the Green Bay players.
- Forgot who the handcuff is for the player you just drafted? In the search box, type in the team abbreviation, switch to Running back, and make sure the order is ADP. More than likely, your guy will appear at the top of the list.
- Don’t know how to spell the name of the person you want? Use a partial search. ‘jerm’ will find everybody who’s first name includes those letters: ‘merrit’ will find Jacory Croskey-Merritt, and so on.
- Want to see just the available rookies, for your dynasty draft? Notice that the name for rookies includes “- R” at the end of it. So, search for that! Put “- R” (with a space) in the search bar.
- Can’t find the player you want in the ADP list? Switch the order to alphabetic, by clicking on the radio button titled Name. ALL players will now appear, not just those who have a reasonable ADP.
One final note about the Available Players box, but an important one: The RANK radio button is for when you prepare your own player ranking, using the Draft->MyDraftList page. If you have your own draft list, your draft page will default to RANK, showing YOUR list.
This can bite you in the butt when you get further into the draft, though, as your own list may start to run out of players. You’ll still see just the players you’ve chosen for your list when ordering by RANK. So, at some point, it’ll probably be useful to switch from RANK to ADP.
