Playoff Leagues Start Monday
Playoff leagues begin drafting on Monday, January 5! We have a full suite of options in the lobby: slow drafts, live drafts, and live auctions, priced from $50 to $500.
Interested in a $1000 draft, or a $350 or $500 live auction? Write back and let us know! If there’s enough interest, we’ll put one or more up.
Playoff leagues work like this:
- All leagues are made up of six teams, and each team has 14 players: Exactly 2 QB, 2 RB, 4 WR, 2 TE, 2 PK, 2 DE
- No changes to the roster are allowed after the draft. Just sit back and watch the NFL games.
- The contest is ‘all play’, you do not set lineups. Every player you draft contributes, so your fantasy total each week is the sum of your players.
- Each player contributes each week that they play. For example, if you draft a player from an NFL team that plays all four weeks of the playoffs, you’ll get four fantasy point contributions!
- After the NFL Superbowl, the fantasy winners are the three teams in your league who scored the most points over the playoff season. Prizes for each denomination can be found under the 6-team column on the Prize Payouts page. Half the entrants win prizes!
Remember, we have limited live drafts and auctions, especially the latter, so lock up your preferred time spot in the lobby now!
Claim Your Winnings
Our 2025 regular season contests are all completed, so if you won money, don’t forget to claim your prize winnings! Go to your My Account page, locate and click the big pink button that says CLAIM PRIZE WINNINGS.
After claiming, your winnings will be placed in your account for you to either withdraw or spend on new leagues or renewals.
Renewing or Selling Teams
If you are in any multi-year leagues like dynasty leagues, you can renew at this time by visiting the Keepers->RenewTeams page. The renewal deadline doesn’t come until May 9th, but the sooner you renew, the sooner you can start trading with other teams.
Should you decide to leave your league, just click the LEAVE button instead of clicking PAY. It’ll ask you if you want to put the team up for sale on the marketplace, and what the asking price should be.
Don’t drop teams and list them for sale if you still intend to play! We discourage ‘testing the waters’ by charging a $5 repurchase fee if you list a team for sale and buy it back yourself.
A hint about selling teams: You can change your price at any time, and can even enter a sales pitch, on the Keepers->UpdatePrices page. So feel free to negotiate a price with prospective buyers!
Teams that are not renewed by the May 9 deadline will be put up for auction as orphans. You’ll still get the sale proceeds if we can sell your team at the auction.
About the Auto-Renew
If you enabled auto-renew on any of your keeper or dynasty teams, in order to trade away future-year picks, your team may have been automatically paid for out of your account on January 1. This is a normal procedure that may result in your account balance going negative.
Your team(s) will be marked ‘paid’, and as soon as you deposit enough money to cover the balance, we’ll enable trading for your team (you’ll be able to trade players and picks with other teams.)
Note that if you still retain your draft capital in 2026 and 2027 (you haven’t traded away picks, or you recovered those picks through other trade) we can still reverse the auto-renew! Just write us, we’ll check it out, and reverse the payment.
We’re happier if you tell us this before the end of the year (e.g.: before the auto-renew occurs), but it’s not too late! Just write us at [email protected] and list the teams you want unrenewed. You can then renew again at your leisure, or even drop the team and list it for sale.
If you are confused about your balance, the easiest way to see what happened is to go to your My Account page and click on the buttons labeled VIEW FINANCIAL TRANSACTIONS and VIEW BONUS MONEY TRANSACTIONS.

The Orphan Marketplace
Back on the Orphan Marketplace topic, there is quite a selection of about 235 orphans available for purchase! These teams are all for-sale-by-owner: DataForce does not make money on the sale of these orphans!
Remember that in addition to the asking price, you must also pay the 2026 entry fee to buy a team!
In addition to looking at the rosters, be sure to examine the available picks for 2026 and 2027. It’s all right there in the marketplace, in the final column. Most teams will have a full complement of draft picks, some even more than normal, but a few may be missing picks.
If you see something you like and want to negotiate a price, click on the ‘contact owner’ link in the far right column to send an email directly to the seller.

Charity League Results
Each year, DataForce sponsors a charity league, where 12 industry experts compete and donate their winnings to the charity of their choice. You probably know many of these contestants.
Pat Thorman of EstablishTheRun.com took home first place. His $350 prize went to Boston Children’s Hospital, his chosen charity. Pat barely edged out our own Matthew Hill, the guy who puts together those incredible player rankings and articles for us, who was playing for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. They received $150 in his name.

Referral Program
Our referral program is in place again, where you and a friend can each earn some bonus money! Each referral resulting in a new DataForce customer pays out $24, part to you, and part to the person you refer (you decide how to split it up). This bonus money can be used for renewals or new teams purchases, at $12 per team.
