What Is Bonus Money?
Bonus money is not real money. It can be used to pay the commissioner fee (what we charge to run the league) when purchasing new leagues. This commissioner fee is normally $12 per team, meaning up to $12 of the entry fee can come from bonus money.
When paying for Tin Baby leagues or buying into one of our partner's leagues, you may use $6 of bonus money to discount your cost. Any bonus money you have available will automatically be applied first toward the cost as you click PAY.
Bonus money can be earned in a variety of ways:
- Bonus money is awarded for referrals. Send a referral to a friend to earn bonus money when they join a league.
- Bonus money is at times awarded as a sign-up bonus for new customers. Check the new account setup page for ongoing sign-up promotions.
- Bonus money is awarded in prizes to toilet bowl winners.
- Bonus money can be added to the prize fund of any league as a "boost" for an added incentive to join. See below.
Bonus money cannot be withdrawn from your account. It expires and is removed from your account if you do not join any leagues for two years in a row.
Boosting Leagues With Bonus Money
From time to time, DataForce "boosts" certain leagues in the lobby by adding bonus money to the prize fund:
- A regular boost adds $24 in bonus money
- A double boost adds $48
- A triple boost adds $72
All "boosted" prize additions are awarded in total to the team scoring the most points over the 17-week season.
