It’s May, the NFL draft is behind us, DataForce’s dynasty renewal date is fast approaching, and we’ll soon be running rookie/free-agent drafts. Where does the time go?
Here’s what’s new and exciting at DataForce Fantasy Football
Push Notification Foundation Built
DataForce’s new mobile app is really the big news of our 2026 off season. We significantly upgraded our mobile version (the on-line web version for mobile devices) and wrapped a new mobile app around it, providing greatly enhanced navigation.
The next step is now underway for the mobile app, and that’s adding push notifications. The foundation has been prepared in the newest version. For app users, you will soon be able to get notifications on your app when it’s your turn to draft, when you receive a trade offer, and more. But you won’t be able to use that roll-out unless you’ve installed the latest version: 2.0.2 for Apple devices, 2.0.3 for Android.
We recommend you take just a moment and uninstall your latest app, then re-install from the App Store or Google Play. It takes only a minute!

Saturday is the Renewal Deadline
Saturday, May 9, is the last chance to renew your multi-year league from last year! If you haven’t yet renewed by then, or if your account remains negative from an auto-renewal on January 1, your team will be taken away and placed on the Orphan Auction.
If you need more time to renew, contact us quickly! We can surely work something out, we really don’t want to take teams away that you’ve worked hard to build!
This means the deadline to buy for-sale-by-owner at the marketplace ends Saturday, too! Maybe you can talk the owners down on their price a bit, and nab a contender the easy way!
Then, beginning Sunday, May 10, DataForce will begin the first of two blind-bidding auctions to find all our oprhans new homes. It’s the May event everyone looks forward to each year!
Lobby Filled Out
If you haven’t visited the lobby in a while, it’s time to take a peek! We’ve added a few live drafts through June and July, and we’ve covered all the bases for traditional slow drafts (often called “email drafts”). You’ll find leagues from $20 through $3000 now in the lobby, with a wide variety of options:

Big money players: It’s a bit early to be paying for Diamond leagues, but definitely join up for as many as you want, so you’re notified when each league gets close to filling. Every year we have people coming to us saying “where are your Diamond leagues,” and we hang our heads and answer, “All sold out for the year.”
Search Option Enhanced
Last year, we added a search function to both the full-screen and the mobile version. Look for the little magnifying glass near the top of each page.
It was a rather rudimentary tool, best for just typing in a word or two like “waivers” or “injured reserve” or “playoff teams” to locate references and pages through the website and blog.
Well, this year we made an effort to smarten it up a little:
- It’ll correct misspellings before searching
- It’ll let you write short sentences, and pick out the relevant words for searching (natural language keyword extraction)
- “Bigram phrases” get priority, so phrases within your search that include word pairs like “waiver bids” or “trade reviews” will search smarter
- It’ll do “proximity tests” to find two or more words or phrases in close proximity within the text it’s searching.
- It’ll recognize abbreviations like I/R and QB, properly matching them to the text.
It’s still no AI search, that’s a bit beyond our budget, but it’s a lot more friendly than it was before!
