Fantasy Football Live Auction Drafts
DataForce's live auction room is second to none. Bid against eleven other team owners on players for your team, and then dominate in a season-long head-to-head contest.
Each owner is given $200 in play money to bid on players. When it's your turn, you'll have 20 seconds to nominate a player, and then 20 seconds to bid on that player. Once the bidding timer gets below 10 seconds, each new bid bumps the timer back up to 10 seconds.
Player auctions are the epitomy of Fantasy Football strategy. You must accurately build a list of player valuations, and then carefully build a team, trying to get the best players at the cheapest price. Because the timers are short, you must be prepared ahead of time, to know exactly what each player is worth to you.
Before Your Auction Draft Begins
- Go to the Owner Setup page to set a team name and upload a team icon. This will help identify your team during the auction.
- Try the software with our mock fantasy football auction to make sure you don't have any trouble with your chosen computer or browser. We strongly recommend using a PC for the auction; not a phone or even a tablet.
- Optionally set a custom draft list to keep your nominations in order, so that you don't have to search for players when your turn comes, and so that you don't accidentally nominate someone you don't want. Remember, each nomination carries with it an assumed bid of $1.
- Arrive fifteen minutes before the auction begins to get settled in and make sure everything is operating properly. This will also give you time to ask the commissioner questions.
