Fantasy Football Live Auction Drafts
DataForce's live auction room is second to none. Bid against the other team owners in your league for every player on your roster, and then compete all season long, head-to-head.
Each owner gets $200 in play money to bid on players. When it's your turn to nominate, you'll have 20 seconds to put a player up for bid. Bidding then opens with a 15-second clock. Once the clock drops below 8 seconds, each new bid resets it to 8 seconds, so the auction keeps going as long as owners keep bidding.
Player auctions are the epitome of fantasy football strategy. You must build an accurate list of player values, and then carefully build a team, trying to get the best players at the lowest price. Because the clock is short, prepare ahead of time so you know exactly what each player is worth to you.
Before Your Auction Draft Begins
- Go to the Owner → Setup page to set a team name and upload a team icon. This helps identify your team during the auction.
- Use a device with a mouse for the auction. Bids come quickly, and a mouse is the fastest, most reliable way to keep up. Try the software in our mock fantasy football auction first to make sure your device and browser work well.
- Optionally set up a custom draft list to keep your nominations in order. That way you won't have to search for players when your turn comes, and you won't accidentally nominate someone you don't want. Remember, each nomination carries an automatic opening bid of $1.
- Arrive fifteen minutes before the auction begins to get settled and make sure everything is working. This also gives you time to ask the commissioner questions.
