We’re already on cuteness overload from The Wonk, and now he gets his own stylist?
Yes, lots is happening in Wonk World. The Wonk is DataForce Fantasy Football’s handy little helper for:
- Your own customized draft list
- Your waiver and free agent talent finder
- Your lineup advice each week
- Your single-year trade analyzer
And he’s good at his job. But he just got a whole lot better. Maybe the little guy is growing up.
Here’s what’s new:
Tier Markers
That’s “tiers”, not “tears”. We’re chasing the other one away.
The Wonk will automatically divide your draft list into tiers, so you can easily see the talent drop-offs and make intelligent draft decisions.
You don’t ALWAYS want to pick the top player on the list. Sometimes you want to target the position that’s about to go talent-dry.
Player Rank Column
A “rank” column has been added (not as rank as your high school locker room, we promise!), polling multiple sources, including Fantasy Sports Writer Matthew Hill’s player rankings, but intelligently tailored to your league’s roster requirements. Rankings will differ from the Standard lineup for Superflex, Ultra, Deep, and Flex leagues. More importantly, for the first time the Wonk ranks players for Dynasty leagues, too! He’ll automatically custom-fit his rankings to your league type.
What’s the point of this? It’s that projections are always single-year! The “auction” value The Wonk calculates is always based on this-year projections only, so it’s not the whole story for dynasty leagues. You may need to temper those values by looking also at the Rank column if you’re thinking beyond 2026.
Customized ADP
The Average Draft Position just got smarter, too. The Wonk will try to pull the ADP from recent drafts of your league’s type: single-QB, double-QB, redraft, dynasty. That makes the ADP much more relevant.
If he can’t find at least a couple recent drafts, he’ll fall back to the closest match he can find, so pay attention to the message at the top of the list telling you which ADP it is displaying.
Click-to-Sort & “Smart Arrows”
With the addition of a player rank column, and with an updated ADP, we’ve added click-to-sort on three of the available columns. You can sort by:
- Auction value (remember, it’s based on single-year projections)
- ADP (now tailored to your draft type)
- The new Player Rank (helpful especially for dynasty leagues)
Inside two of these new columns–whichever two you DON’T sort by–are some “smart arrows” (the technical term is “divergence”), either green or red, when a player appears to be a over- or under-valued. These values tell you something very important: How much the player will move up or down if sorted by this column.
It’s basically a sleeper/reach flag. For example, if you see a red 12 in the ADP column (with a red arrow pointing down, of course) that means he’s ranked higher than his ADP. If you sort the list by this column instead, this player will travel down 12 spots on the list.
Why do you care? Because you may be able to pick him up next round instead of now! His average draft position is out of whack with his value. Red = wait! Green = Nab him quick!
Visual Cues
We already talked about the red and green smart arrows. Here are a couple more cool additions:
- Color-coded player positions to easily see what you’re drafting. Particularly helpful, in my opinion, on the Waiver Wonk page.
- NFL team logos because–well, because they’re pretty.
Yeah, a full make-over. It’s really not fair to the competition.

Well, actually, he’s whoever you want him to be. YOU select which projections you want him to work with. He takes your choice, massages the data to fit your league specifications, and lines it up in pretty columns to help you make smart decisions.
