2026 Fantasy Football Survey
We want to provide the Fantasy Football experience that YOU want. We'd be so happy if you would answer a few questions for us. Check only the boxes you care about (don't vote on a topic that doesn't interest you) and check as many options for each question as you wish.
The purpose of this survey is to get a feel for what our customers like and dislike. Many of the suggested changes are rule changes, but be aware that we seldom make rule changes unless there is considerable agreement.
The survey will close on March 15, 2026.
1. Live Draft Timer
Currently, our live draft timer is set to 75 seconds per pick. We want to keep our user base happy, but also need to accomodate brand new users and the occasional person who does multiple drafts simultaneously, providing ample time for these drafters too.
75 seconds is just right.I need more time! Switch to 90 seconds.
Drafts take too long as it is. 60 seconds per pick is plenty.
2. Drop Divisions
Is everybody still happy with having two divisions in most leagues, and awarding a playoff bye to the division winners?
Keep the divisions as they are, and offer more victory points leagues for the people who don't like divisions. No divisions, just a 12-team board, award the byes to the top two teams.
3. Victory Points
For victory point leagues, DataForce has tested a scoring system that awards 2 points for winning your game, 2 points for scoring in the top 3rd for the week, and 1 point for scoring in the middle third. Switch to this?
No. Keep the victory point calculations as is, with 1 point for beating your opponent and 1 point for scoring in the top half of the league.Yes, switch to the more standard victory point calculation described above, it more accurately identifies the top teams.
4. Trading With Invalid Rosters
DataForce allows trades that result in invalid rosters, such as over-limit conditions. But if your roster is already invalid, should you be allowed to offer or accept a trade?
Yes.No.
Yes, but only before the draft (for multi-year leagues).
5. Autorenew Requirement
Currently, your dynasty/legacy/keeper league requires autorenew if you have traded away draft capital. In general, you need to have picks available in each future round (your own or somebody else's) in order to drop your team at end-of-year. The following simple change is proposed:
You must autorenew at end of year if and only if you no longer have your own round 1 pick for a future year.Just keep the rules the way they are.
6. Team Kickers
We already have team defenses. Anybody ready for team kickers?
Yes. I'd rather draft "Chargers Kicker" than "Cameron Dicker".Nope, I want the actual person on my team, regardless of who he kicks for.
7. Second Chance Leagues
Every year we're asked if we have "second chance leagues". That is, new leagues that begin after the season starts. Would you be interested?
Nope, I'm out of money by the time the season starts.Yes, drafting right after week 2.
Yes, drafting right after week 3.
8. Big Money Leagues
We often get requests for high-dollar leagues. Who would be interested in these options for 2026?
$500 dynasty league.$1000 dynasty league.
$3000 live auction league (single-year).
$5000 live draft league (single-year).
9. Tuesday "Helpful Roster Moves"
On Tuesday nights, while y'all are sleeping, DataForce sometimes changes your lineups, pulling players out of the lineup who are injured (doubtful or out) or who are on bye. We replace them with starting players from your bench. Your email notification calls this "Helpful Roster Moves", but the purpose of this is not really to stop you from making a mistake, it's to keep abandoned teams competitive.
We are getting player projections early in the week now, early enough to make logical roster moves from the projections. Should DataForce make lineup changes on Tuesday night based on projections?
No. Don't touch abandoned teams any more than you do already.Yes, if you can make a roster move that will increase a position's projection score by 3 or more points, do it.
Yes, but make it 4 or more points before changing.
5 or more points.
10. Top Points Prize
Is it time to introduce a prize for the top points-scorer for the year? How much of the prize fund should go to the top scoring team?
No, don't take any money away from the other prizes.Give the top-scoring team 10% of the prize fund.
Give the top-scoring team 20% of the prize fund.
11. Potential Points and the Toilet Bowl
Here's your last chance to weigh in on this controversial topic! It's come up in enough off-season polls now, so let's get it settled. Please don't vote unless you play in multi-year leagues.
"Potential points" is a modified bestball calculation that determines how many fantasy points each team could have won each week, used for determining the next year's draft order in dynasty/legacy/keeper leagues. The lower your potential points for the year, the earlier you pick.
Our toilet bowl runs from weeks 15-17 for teams who do not make the playoffs. Currently, the potential points that you receive during the toilet bowl is subtracted from your total, rather than added. So weeks 1-14 add to potential points, weeks 15-17 take away from potential points. In other words, for the best draft position next year, you want to do badly in weeks 1-14 and better in weeks 15-17.
There are several reasons for this rule. [1] It's fun, it adds meaning to the toilet bowl. [2] It gives teams who try hard to make the playoffs a chance to climb back just a little in draft position. [3] It discourages teams from dropping or trading all their talent, because when the toilet bowl comes, they'll lose ground.
Drop the toilet bowl's impact on potential points. I don't want the toilet bowl to screw up my plan for a great draft spot next year.Keep the rules as they are, but with a minor modification: Use a half-penalty rather than no penalty (or full penalty) for lineup spots with no scoring during the toilet bowl weeks.
12. An "Almost Bestball" Variant
We are contemplating a new league format that is almost bestball. In it, you draft normally, but sometime prior to the start of the season, you must choose a fixed starting lineup. These are your starters each game, all year long, so long as they score any points at all. You then slot your bench players into "backup" slots behind your starters, and the bench players move into the starting lineup for a week only if the starters don't score (injured, on bye, or just turn in a goose-egg for any reason).
No thanks, I'd rather do draftmaster leagues.Yeah, I'd try this variant once this year.
That sounds cool, I'll play lots of them!
